James Martinez

For the past 20 years, James has been an elementary physical educator in the San Antonio area where he knows firsthand the needs and importance of implementing audio and visual equipment in the gym for effective teaching strategies. During his tenure as a P.E. Teacher, James started an after-school program called Acoustic to Rock where he taught third through fifth grade students how to play instruments ranging from guitar, bass, drums and vocal lessons. The purpose of the program was to teach students how to play instruments well enough to be able to play cover songs, perform live at school functions, or at local venues.

During this time, James taught himself how to run sound and was able to open up his own studio, Acoustic to Rock Studios, in Floresville, Texas. The idea of the studio was to teach individuals of all ages how to play instruments that ranged from guitar, bass, drums, as well as, vocal lessons. The studio was setup with James at the board and with a backline that consisted of guitar and bass amplifiers, drums, and PA audio setup for any band or soloist to plug and play. James is currently in a rock band that has been playing around the San Antonio area for the past eight years, where he is in charge of sound and visual production.
